Union girls’ season ends with 52-27 loss

Union County High School’s season came to an end with a 52-27 loss to Chiefland in the semifinals of the District 7-1A girls’ basketball tournament on Jan. 30 in Newberry.

The Tigers (7-16) were held to two points in the second quarter as Chiefland built a 34-11 lead.

Qushawn Smith led Union with 10 points, while Kunya Hendrieth had six points.
