INVITATION FOR BIDS.

Proposals are requested from GENERAL CONTRACTORS by the owner: Union County Board of County Commissioners (UCBOCC) for the Union County Extension Office and Agricultural Education Center located in Lake Butler, Florida.

The Scope of the work involves the build-out of a 200’ x 60’ metal building furnished and installed under separate contract. One portion, at 60’ x 80’ with a 10’ eave height, will be enclosed, conditioned space for a mixed use occupancy of Group B, Business and Group A-3 Assembly. Interior finishes include gypsum board on metal studs with insulation, doors and windows and suspended ceiling system.

The second portion, at 60’x120’ with a 16’ eave height will be an open sided, dirt floored multi-purpose area for agricultural use.  Construction work for both portions shall include plumbing, mechanical, electrical and communication systems, and related sitework and utility connections.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the offices of the UCBOCC (55 West Main Street, Lake Butler, FL 32054) on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. local time.  Sealed bids shall be received, publicly opened and read aloud on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. local time at the offices of the UCBOCC.

Bids must be submitted in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents. Documents may be obtained from Terry Biehl at SKINNER VIGNOLA MCLEAN, INC., 1628 N.W. 6TH STREET, Gainesville, Florida 32609, (352) 378-4400.   Pre-ordered, hard copies of the documents will be distributed at the Pre-Bid Conference at a cost of $75.00 each.  After the Pre-Bid Conference documents may be obtained by mail, FED-EX or pick-up. Bidders may withdraw their bid at any time prior to the Bid Opening, Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond are required. E.O.E.
