NOTICE OF ELECTION

TOWN OF WORTHINGTON SPRINGS

NOTICE is hereby given as provided by the Charter of the Town of Worthington Springs, Florida, that a municipal election will be held in the said Town of Worthington Springs on the third (3rd) Tuesday in July 2017, the same being July 18, 2017, for the purpose of electing the following officers of the said Town of Worthington Springs to serve for the term as hereinafter stated, to wit:

Candidates for Town Council shall qualify for seat Number One, Three and Five.

Seat One for a term of four (4) years

Seat Three for a term of four (4) years

Seat Five for a term of four (4) years

Elector must qualify to become a candidate between June 12th and June 16th. An affidavit can be signed at the Town Hall on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm or you may contact the Clerk, Pat Harrell at 386-496-1373 or 352-316-6776 to make arrangements to sign.

Election will be held at the City Hall located at 11933 SW 36 DR and State Road 121 in Worthington Springs, Florida on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 and the polls will be open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm.

A parcel of land containing a total area of 3.3 acres, more or less, lying, being and situate in Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 20 East, Union County, Florida, more particularly described as follows:

COMMENCE at the Point of Intersection of State Road Number 100 (120-foot right-of-way) and County Road Number S-237 (80-foot right-of-way) in the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 3, and run South 07°29’57” West along the centerline of said County Road Number S-237 a distance of 372.78 feet; thence run North 64°42’39″ West a distance of 42.01 feet to a 5/8-inch iron rod (labeled: LB6995) set on the Westerly right-of-way line of said County Road Number S-237, for the POINT OF BEGINNING of the hereinafter described parcel of land; thence continue running North 64°42’39” West a distance of 15.45 feet to a 4-inch square concrete monument (top broken, no identification) found at the intersection with the East line of the Northwest 1/4 of said Section 3; thence continue running North 64°42’39″ West a distance of 471.91 feet to a found 4-inch square concrete monument (labeled: L. D. Bradley); thence run North 07°20’29” East a distance of 313.96 feet to a 1/2-inch iron pipe (labeled: CLARY #3377) found at the intersection with the Southerly right-of-way line of the aforesaid State Road Number 100; thence run South 64°17’39” East along said Southerly right-of-way line of State Road Number 100 a distance of 417.04 feet to a 5/8-inch iron rod (labeled: LB6995) set at the Point of Curvature of a curve to the right; thence run Southeasterly along the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly and along the aforesaid Westerly right-of-way line of County Road Number S-237 a distance of 125.30 feet, as measured along the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 100.00 feet, said arc being subtended by a chord having a bearing of South 28°23’51” East and a distance of 117.27 feet, to a 5/8-inch iron rod (labeled; LB6995) set at the Point of Tangency; thence run South 07°29’57″ West continuing along said Westerly right-of-way line of County Road Number S-237 a distance of 237.56 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

SUBJECT TO an American Telephone & Telegraph Company easement along said Southerly right-of-way line of State Road Number 100.

has been filed against you, and you are required to serve a copy of your written defenses, if any, to it on Plaintiffs attorney, Russell A. Wade, III, whose mailing address is P. 0. Box 172, Lake Butler, FL 32054. on or before July 7th, 2017, which date is not less than 28 nor more than 60 days after the first publication of this Notice, either before service on Plaintiffs’ attorney or immediately thereafter; otherwise, a default will be entered against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint.
