YOU ARE NOTIFIED that an action has been commenced against you to quiet title to the following property in Union County, Florida:

A parcel of land, lying, being and situate in Section 28, Township 6 South, Range 19 East, Union County, Florida, more particularly described as follows:

Commence at the Northwest corner of said Section 28, end run South 89

degrees 14 minutes 30 seconds East, along the North line of said Section 28, a distance of 223.27 feet to the intersection with the Easterly right-of-way line of the abandoned right-of-way of CSX Transportation, Inc., (a 100 foot right-of-way-former right-of-way of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad – former right-of-way of Seaboard Coast Line Railroad); thence continue running South 89 degrees 14 minutes 30 seconds East, continuing along said North line of Section 28, a distance of 1403.87 feet; thence run South 01 degree 04 minutes 30 seconds West a distance of 420.00 feet; thence run South 89 degrees 14 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 495.00 feet; thence run

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENACT UNION COUNTY ORDINANCE

LAKE BUTLER, FLORIDA

Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Union County, Florida will consider the enactment of a county ordinance in accordance with Article VIII, Section 1, of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 125, Florida Statutes. The proposed county ordinance will be:

AN ORDINANCE OF UNION COUNTY, FLORIDA RELATING TO THE DISPOSITION OF REAL PROPERTY ENTITLED THE “UNION COUNTY SURPLUS LANDS ORDINANCE”; PROVIDING FOR A SHORT TITLE; PURPOSE AND INTENT; APPLICABILITY; AND DEFINITIONS; ESTABLISHING STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES APPLICABLE TO SURPLUS LAND DECLARATION AND SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY; PRROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

There will be one public hearing held in the County Commissioners’ Chambers, Union County Courthouse, 55 West Main Street, Room 103, Lake Butler, Florida.   The public hearing will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard.

Copies of this Notice and the proposed Ordinance are on file in the Board of County Commissioners Office of Union County. The public may inspect or copy the Ordinance during regular business hours. The Board of County Commissioners Office of Union County is located at 15 Northeast 1st Street; Lake Butler, Florida.

Interested parties may appear at the meeting, in person or through a representative, and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. To appeal a Board decision made at this hearing, a record of the proceedings will be necessary. The person appealing the decision must ensure that the necessary verbatim record is made.

If adopted by the Board at this meeting, the Ordinance will take effect upon its filing with the Office of the Secretary of the Florida Department of State.
