CONCERNING A MINING

MORATORIUM

BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF UNION COUNTY, FLORIDA, SERVING AS THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD OF UNION COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY OF UNION COUNTY, FLORIDA, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, a mining moratorium ordinance, as described below,  will be heard by the Board of County Commissioners of Union County, Florida, serving as the Planning and Zoning Board of Union County, Florida, and the Local Planning Agency of Union County, Florida, at a public hearing on March 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, at the Hal Y. Maines Community Center, located at 155 NW 3rd Street, Lake Butler, Florida.

Moratorium No. 16-01, an ordinance by the Board of County Commissioners, declaring a moratorium on the acceptance of applications and processing of applications for mining special permits and issuance of mining special permits for a period of one year

The public hearing may be continued to one or more future dates.  Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time and place of any continuation of the public hearing shall be announced during the public hearing and that no further notice concerning the matter will be published, unless said continuation exceeds six calendar weeks from the date of the above referenced public hearing.
