Call for Request for Proposals (RFP) Marketing and
The New River Solid Waste Association (NRSWA) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an integrated marketing and communication firm to develop a long-term strategic communication plan to educate the communities contributing waste to the New River Regional Landfill about the solid waste process and to plan/produce a professionally organized Landfill Gas-to-Energy groundbreaking event. The selected firm should have documented experience in conceiving, developing and delivering a comprehensive strategic communications plan capable of furthering long-term public awareness objectives. Proposers should offer a full range of in-house professional communications services, ranging from messaging and graphic design to social/digital media and public affairs.
NRRL is located 2.5 miles north of Raiford, Florida on State Road 121 in Union County, Florida. RFP packages can be picked up at the NRRL Administration Office located at 24276 NE 157th Street, Raiford, Florida 32083 or can be distributed upon request via email. Completed RFP packages shall be either mailed to the NRSWA, P.O. Box 647, Raiford, Florida 32083-0647, delivered to the NRRL Administration Office or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. After the RFP opening, the packages will be examined for completeness and preserved in the custody of the Executive Director. The NRSWA reserves the right to reject any or all RFP responses or a portion thereof for any reason. Any RFP responses received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc. will hold a pre-bid conference and walk-thru for the Weatherization of one (1) single-family dwellings in the Union County Weatherization program.
This meeting will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Suwannee River Economic Council, Inc., 665 SE 4th Street, Lake Butler, Fl 32054. The conference and walk-thru is mandatory, no exceptions, for contractors who plan to bid. This is to give notice that the City of Lake Butler has submitted an application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG funds) to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). The funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will be used for sewer line, sewer plant and park improvements, and repairs. Funding is also being provided by the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) for park improvements.
This notice is required by Section 2(a)(4) of Executive Order 11988 for Floodplain Management, and by Section 2(b) of Executive Order 11990 for the Protection of Wetlands, and is implemented by HUD Regulations found at 24 CFR 55.20(b) for the HUD action that is within and/or affects a floodplain or wetland.
Construction will be undertaken in the 100?year floodplain. The City of Lake Butler is interested in alternatives and public perceptions of possible adverse impacts that could result from the project as well as potential mitigation measures. There are two floodplain areas within the City where the grant funded activities will take place. The first location is at Lakeside Park which is located on NE 3rd Street between NW 2nd Ave. and North Lake Ave. The project activities that are planned for this floodplain area include improvements to the existing playground, existing restrooms, and existing pavilions that are in deteriorated condition. Additional playground equipment at the existing playground is also planned. The second floodplain location is along NW 7th Ave. between SR 100 and NW 3rd Street. Sewer line and lift station improvements are planned for this area. No other sewer lines that are to be improved as part of this project are located within the floodplain. Also, the sewer plant is not located in the 100 year floodplain.
