Bradford High School scored eight runs in the first inning en route to defeating Williston 10-0 in four and a half innings in the semifinals of the District 5-4A tournament at Fort White High School on April 18.

Taylor Cruce and Lainie Rodgers each had an RBI double in the first as the Tornadoes (24-2) gave pitcher Ashton Adkins plenty of runs to work with. Adkins gave up one hit and no walks, while striking out 11.

At the plate, Rodgers and Mackenzie Gault were each 2-for-3 with an RBI. Cruce, Jaci Atkinson, Jordan Davis and Lindsey Wiggins each drove in a run as well.

Bradford, the tournament’s top seed, will play second seed Keystone Heights for the district championship at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 19. Keystone advanced to the title game by defeating Santa Fe 5-1.
