A touchdown off of a fumble recovery in the end zone by Interlachen made things interesting with approximately two minutes left in the game, but the Bradford High School football team hung on for a 14-12 win on Oct. 4 in Interlachen.

The Tornadoes (2-3) got 205 yards and two touchdowns from wide receiver Kenny Dinkins in the first half en route to taking a 14-6 lead, but was hindered by mistakes in the second half, including an interception and numerous fumbles on the quarterback-center exchange.

Therefore, despite the fact the win improved Bradford’s record to 2-0 in District 5-4A, head coach Steve Reynolds was visibly frustrated.

“Obviously, we’ve got a lot of improving to do,” Reynolds said. “I’ve got to a better job as a head coach getting us prepared and ready to play football.”

Dinkins, who didn’t have a catch in the second half, finished with four receptions for 205 yards. His touchdowns covered 74 and 75 yards.

The rest of the Bradford offense managed just 67 yards.

Holden Huggins and Tra’Von Thomas each had an interception in the first half for the defense.
