Tigers defeat Chiefland Indians’ #1 defense, 28-7, to stay in district race

Taking on Chiefland High School’s #1 ranked defense, Union County won their third district game, 28-7, to stay in the race.

The Tigers’ Caleb Cox had some good passes and Geordyn Green and Daquin “Buddy” Edwards had a good night on offense. Austin Dukes, Princeton Alexander and Alden McClellon were strong on defense. Phillip Lillie did well on both sides of the ball.

Now the Tigers face Williston High School for their final district game and their homecoming bout to make for an interesting night and the end of Union County’s big week.

As head football coach Ronny Pruitt warned his team after just defeating Chiefland, “Williston ain’t got nothin’ to play for except pride.”
