Students build podium for city hall

A group of carpentry students at Keystone Heights High School built a new podium for city council meetings. Teacher Don Weaver said his third period students constructed the lectern. Pictured is Weaver, along with one of the students, Dale George, during the April 21 city council meeting. Other students who worked on the project included Isaac Briggs, Mackenzie Marsh, Logan Thorson and Chase Kennedy. Weaver told the council the school’s carpentry program recently added several new tools and continues to improve. Also pictured are (l-r) Mayor Tony Brown, Council members Brian Wilson and Marion Kelly and Vice Mayor Paul Yates.
