Keystone Heights resident Edith Wolfe celebrated her 101st birthday on Sept. 29. On Sept. 27, her friends at the Keystone Heights Senior Center threw a party for her.

Originally from Aurora, Ill., Wolfe moved to Starke in 1982 and then to the Keystone Golf and Country Club-area in 2002.

She still drives herself to the senior center twice a week to play Mexican train dominoes and to services at the Keystone Heights United Methodist Church.

She also enjoys word searches.

Wolfe has one daughter who lives in the area: Kathryn Pennington of Melrose.

When asked if she had any plans for the future, Wolfe replied, no.

“I’m 101,” she said.  “I don’t make plans.  I just live one day at a time.”
