Putnam deputies searching for Interlachen bank robber

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said a bank robber made off with $3,000 by holding up the T.D. Bank in Interlachen Sept. 20.

According to a sheriff’s office press release, the suspect entered the bank Friday morning around 10:35 am. and approached a teller with a manila envelope demanding cash.

The agency described the suspect as a black male, 5’7” to 5’10” and weighing 140 to 150 pounds.  He is in his early 20s, is clean shaven with close cut hair. The suspect was wearing a black tee shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and light and dark gray tennis shoes with some light blue or turquoise trim.

The suspect fled the area in a late model tan or gold Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was last seen traveling west through the bank’s parking lot and is presumed to have traveled west on S.R. 20.
