No injuries in school bus crash near McRae Elementary

The Florida Highway Patrol said 22 McRae Elementary School students on a bus, as well as three children in a car, were all uninjured after a collision by the two vehicles near the school Friday morning.

According to an FHP report, at 8:12, Patricia A. Rhoden, 29, of Keystone Heights, attempted to make a left turn from a private driveway onto the southbound lane of CR 315C, near Wild Horse Loop, between one and two miles north of the school.

When entering the southbound lane of the road, the front of Rhoden’s 2002 Toyota Sequoia struck the left side of a Clay County School District bus, which was traveling southbound on 315C.

The driver of the bus was 48-year-old Tina L. Brusherd of Middleburg. Neither Brusherd nor Rhoden were hurt. FHP troopers cited Rhoden for failure to yield the right of way and for unknowingly driving with a suspended license.
