Keystone’s Richardson to play baseball at Trinity Baptist

Trinity Baptist College’s new baseball program added a third player from the Telegraph-Times-Monitor coverage area as Keystone Heights High School senior Blake Richardson signed a letter of intent to play for the Eagles.

“It’s exciting,” Richardson said following a signing ceremony on May 15 at KHHS. “I’ve always wanted to play baseball after high school. I didn’t want that to be the end of it.

“I’m just excited to play in college.”

Keystone head coach Alan Mattox said the middle infielder has put in a lot of work to put himself in this position. Mattox expects that hard work to allow Richardson to adapt successfully to the next level.

“With is work ethic, I see him having no problem adjusting to the higher level off play when he gets to college,” Mattox said.

Richardson will join Bradford High School seniors Wyatt Collins and David Hall, who signed letters of intent with Trinity Baptist last month. Plus, three players from Richardson’s travel team will be going to Trinity as well.

“I have a bunch of friends going there, so it’s going to be fun,” Richardson said.
