Municipal officers from around northeast Florida gathered at the Keystone Heights Airport April 18 for a regional dinner meeting of the Florida League of Cities. Mayor Mary Lou Hildreth, who hosted the event, said the northeast Florida group meets at different locales throughout the year to discuss issues unique to the area. She added that the meetings also offer opportunities to network with other elected officials.

“Also, for Keystone Heights,” she wrote in an email, “it is a great way to highlight our airport and the efforts of Bob Oehl and Susan King and the Wings of Dreams Museum.

Hildreth said Oehl spoke to the gathering about the museum and gave a tour of its facilities at the close of the meeting. Hildreth also said the event was financed by an engineering firm and did not cost the city any money.
