Kerekes leads 3rd quarter fund raising (subscriber content)

Clay County School Board member Janice Kerekes led all local candidates in campaign fundraising for the quarter ended Sept. 30.

Kerekes took in $6,062 during the quarter.  The next closest candidate was her challenger for the District 1 (Fleming Island) school board seat, Amber Shepherd who collected $1,981.

Notable contributors to Kerekes’ campaign included fellow school board member Carol Studdard, Steve Boccieri, treasurer of the Clay County Republican Party, John C. Myers III, former president of the Reinhold Corporation and Orange Park lawyer John Fagan.

Other local candidates reporting campaign contributions in the third quarter included Abbie Andrews, county commission District 4 (western Clay County) candidate, $1,791; Ronnie Coleman, candidate for county commission District 4, $1,000.; Steven Johnson, candidate for county commission District 4, $350 and Wayne Bolla, candidate for county commission District 2 (Orange Park), $220.
