Gaylord R. Truman, 73, of Hampton died Dec. 2

Gaylord R. Truman, age 73, of Hampton, Florida passed away December 2, 2012 at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. He was born in Clay County, West Virginia on April 27, 1939 to the late Lee Roy Truman and Gladys Barnes-Truman. Gaylord enjoyed watching television, especially western movies and liked listening to old country music. Gaylord was also known for frequently trading in his cars. He was predeceased by his wife Geraldine Fay Truman and his brother, Kenneth Truman.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys Truman, his daughters, Dianne Williamson of Hampton, FL, Sandy Carbery of St. Augustine, FL, and Samantha Truman of Hampton, FL; his step-children, Rick Melton of Dunellen, FL, Suzanne Melton of Gainesville, FL; his sister, Glennis Ford, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grand children.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2pm at Archie Tanner Funeral Services with Elder Jim Crosley officiating. Interment will be held at Dedan Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of ARCHIE TANNER FUNERAL SERVICES, Starke, FL. 904-964-5757.
