FHP: Prescribed burn may limit visibility
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS — The Florida Highway Patrol said it is monitoring a prescribed burn scheduled for Friday in the area of S.R. 16 between S.R. 21 and C.R. 215 which may affect roadways in Clay County.
“Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling in these areas,” the agency said in a press release. “Visibility may deteriorate quickly due to smoke/fog type conditions, especially during the night time and early morning hours.”
“Motorists are reminded to reduce their speed as necessary to avoid a collision,” the release added, “and utilize their low beam headlights in order to adapt to changing weather conditions.”
