Clay superintendent earns certification

The Florida Association of District School Superintendents presented a certificate of completion to Clay County School Superintendent and Keystone Heights resident Charlie Van Zant Jr.

Association President Dan Boyd, Chief Executive Officer Bill Montford and Florida Education Commissioner Pam Stewart made the presentation Sept. 13, during the association’s fall conference.

The certification program is a training regimen designed specifically for Florida superintendents that includes training in school law, school finance, collective bargaining and leadership.
