Clay County School Board member Tina Bullock filed papers with the supervisor of elections office on Nov. 1 to seek reelection to the District 3 seat.

Bullock is a retired educator and school administrator.

In 2012, Charlie Van Zant vacated the seat to run for schools superintendent.  Two years remained in his term for the school board.

Bullock placed second behind attorney Joseph B. Wiggins Sr. in a non-partisan four-way race that also included retired Florida Air National Guard Colonel Buck Burney and McRae Elementary School teacher Smitty Huffman. However, because Wiggins did not win more than 50 percent of the vote, he faced Bullock in a runoff.

Bullock won the runoff with 61.72 percent of the vote.

As of press time, no other candidate had filed papers for the District 3 seat.
