The Public Hearing will be held in the Board Room at 501 West Washington Street Starke, FL 32091.
Immediately following the Public Hearing will be the Regular School Board Meeting for July. The item listed above will be on the agenda for approval.

BID # EM16-001, Debris Removal
Bids will be opened at 10:00 am, or as soon thereafter as possible, on March 31, 2016 in the Bradford County Courthouse, County Commissioner’s Boardroom, 945 N Temple Ave, Starke, Florida, in the presence of the Emergency Management staff and all other interested persons.
The opened Bids will be read aloud, examined for conformance to specifications, tabulated, and preserved in the custody of the Emergency Management Department. The Committee of the Board will present its recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners as soon thereafter as possible.
Bids will not be valid unless received by the BID deadline and in a sealed envelope marked “BID #EM16-001, Debris Removal ” to be received until 5:00 pm on March 30th 2016 Envelopes are to be sent or delivered in person to the above address.
During the bidding process, all prospective proposers are hereby prohibited from contacting (i) any member of the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager or any County employee or agent regarding the solicitation in any respect during the solicitation period, and (ii) the County Manager or any County employee or agent regarding the solicitation in any respect during the evaluation period. DEMOLITION OF BADCOCK BUILDING
Notice is hereby given that the City of Starke, Bradford County, Florida is seeking qualified contractors to completely demolish to slab level the Old Badcock Furniture Building located at 128 South Walnut Street, Starke, Florida.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Consist of the total demolition of a two story concrete block stucco shingle roof building approximately 10,000 square feet down to the concrete slab (slab to remain). Transport
all clean concrete to the New River Landfill (no fee for the landfill), all lumber and steel will be evaluated by City Staff to determine its need by the City or disposal at same landfill.
- The City of Starke will obtain all permits.
- The City of Starke will install safety barricades, safety ribbons, etc. during demolition.
- The City of Starke will disconnect all utilities; electric, water, sewer and natural gas serving the building and will locate, designate and protect all underground utility lines and pipes at the demolition site.
- The Contractor shall carry out the above Scope of Work.
Bids must be received in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Sealed Bid, Project 2016-08 DEMOLITION PROJECT” and submitted as hard copies, one (1) original with five (5) copies, to the City Clerk, Starke City Hall located at 209 N. Thompson Street, Starke, Florida 32091, until Monday, March 21, 2016, at 2:00 PM. No submission will be accepted by electronic mail or facsimile. Upon the closing of the submission period all submission will be opened and read at 2:05 PM, Monday, March 21, 2016.
Acceptable bids will be presented to the City Commission Meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7:00 PM.
