PROTECTION NOTICE OF

APPLICATION

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announces receipt of an application for a permit from Triple S Plumbing, Inc., Mr. David Skinner, President, 987 SW SR 100, Keystone Heights, Florida 32656 to operate the Skinner Farm Biosolids Land Application Site which has existing land application of treated grease trap sludge, and domestic septage collected from on-site sewage treatment and disposal systems (OSTDS). Sludge from domestic wastewater treatment plants would be treated separately and land applied at the site. In addition, DEP announces receipt of an application for a permit from Triple S Plumbing, Inc., Mr. David Skinner, President, 987 SW SR 100, Keystone Heights, Florida 32656 to operate the Triple S Plumbing Biosolids Treatment Facility. This is an existing septage treatment facility that currently operates under Department of Health permit 04-QY-1117993. This facility collects and treats waste from septic tanks, grease traps and sludge from domestic wastewater treatment plants.

The land application site is located near NW 43rd Avenue and CR 125 (4581 NW CR 125), Lawtey, Florida with a total application area of 18.35 acres, approximately at latitude 30o 04’ 9.78″ N, longitude 82o 07′ 1.72″ W, Bradford County. The Department has assigned permit file number FLA979261 – 001 – IW4A to the proposed project.

The treatment facility is located at 987 SE SR 100, Keystone Heights, Florida, approximately at latitude 29o 48’ 9.68″ N, longitude 82o 03′ 29.235″ W, Bradford County. The Department has assigned permit file number FLA979252 – 001 – IW4A to the proposed project.

The applications are being processed and are available for public inspection during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays, at the Department’s Northeast District Office, 8800 Baymeadows Way West, Suite 100, Jacksonville, Florida 32256-7577, at phone number (904)256-1700. Any comments or objections should be filed in writing with the Department at this address. Comments or objections should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure that there is adequate time for them to be considered in the Department’s decision on the application.
