The Bradford County School Board will meet on July 10th at 6 p.m. for a public hearing on the 2017-2018 Code of Conduct for Elementary and Secondary Schools at 6:15 p.m. or at the conclusion of the Code of Conduct Public Hearing.  A second Public H?earing will be held on revised and new board policies. Both public hearing items will be on the agenda that night for board approval. The public hearings and school board meeting will be held at? 501 West Washington Street in the boardroom.

INVITATION TO BID

SEALED BIDS will be received and accepted by the Town of Brooker, Florida, until 11:00a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 for the following mowing and cleaning of all City property. The bids will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 7:00p.m. at the regular Town Council meeting.

All Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid tour to be held on Saturday, July 1st at 9:00a.m. at the Brooker City Hall/Community Center, 17435 Tetstone Avenue, Brooker, FL. No other tour will be provided.

All Bidders are encouraged to submit references.

Monthly bid amount should be different for Number 1 and Number 2, due to less mowing in Number 2.

Bid #1 is for the following:

  1. Months of August 2017 through October 2017 and the month of April, May, June, July 2018. (7 months):
  2. Mowing and maintaining twice a month the Fire Station, Marshal’s office, F.D. Training Facility property, Water department and remainder of community center property.
  3. Mow and weed eat once a week on Wednesday or Thursday the town property around City Hall/Community Center.
  4. Mow and maintain twice a month the baseball field and tennis court area.
  5. Mow and maintain twice a month the areas within 12 (twelve) feet of the paved roads on all State, County, and Town Streets within the limits of the Town, unless not possible due to ditches or fencing or private planting, in these cases mow to fence line. All debris should be blown towards the highway.
  6. On Highway 18/Charlotte Avenue and Tetstone Avenue mow up to railroad tracks from old City Hall office to the Flashing stop sign twice a month.
  7. Weed-eating particularly the areas around the Fire Station, F.D. Training Facility property, Water Department, and Old City Hall Office and those other areas mentioned above that have sign posts, light poles, decorative trees, and all fire hydrants/stand pipes at least once a month.
  8. If bidder intends to spray any chemicals, then Commercial license are needed. The Town will provide the Round-Up and can be applied twice a year.
  9. Once a month remove garbage from cans at tennis court and baseball field.

Bid #2 same as above except once a month:

  1. Bid for the month of November 2017 through March 2018 (5 months) will be the same as specified above in sections (a) through (h) with the frequency listed as once a week and twice a month being changed to once a month starting from the date of the last activity in October 2017.

Bid will be for a two year period. The Brooker Town Council reserves the right to cancel with or without cause after one year. Payment will be rendered at the end of the month.

***Required with Bid – A copy of current Insurance Declaration page showing $250,000 or more Liability coverage and Worker’s Compensation coverage certificate or exemption certificate. BIDS NOT CONTAINING THESE REQUIRED DECLARATION PAGES WILL BE REJECTED. The identity of the bidding entity must match the certificate of insurance coverage.

***All Equipment including mower is to be furnished by the Contractor. ***Grass is not to be cut too short as to damage the root systems.

***Awarded bidder will be required to add the Town of Brooker as additional insured after receiving the bid.
