Comments: The Permitting Authority will accept written comments concerning the proposed Draft Permit for a period of 14 days from the date of publication of this Public Notice. Written comments must be received by the Permitting Authority by close of business (5:00 p.m.) on or before the end of the 14-day period. Because the administrative hearing process is designed to formulate final agency action, the filing of a petition

means that the Permitting Authority’s final action may be different from the position taken by it in this written notice of Intent to Issue Air Permit. Persons whose substantial interests will be affected by any such final decision of the Permitting Authority on the application have the right to petition to become a party to the proceeding, in accordance with the requirements set forth above.

The City of Hampton is advertising for bids from qualified tree trimmers who will remove two trees on the west side and the rear of the Hampton Fire Station. Work will also include the grinding of stumps, the removing of other overhanging limbs, removing the fence adjacent to the Fire Station and removing all debris from the site.

  1. SCOPE and PURPOSE

The City of Hampton, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified sources to provide a comprehensive Water Tank Inspection and Washout for the City’s 64,000 gallons ground storage tank. The professional services are to perform water tank inspections and washout, The Professional Services Provider will identify specific items on and around the water storage tank facilities which need to be maintained or repaired, conduct an inspection and create a final report related to the existing water storage facility’s interior and exterior located in Hampton, FL. This inspection (and the drafting of the final report) will comply with the Department of Environmental Protection rules and regulations. All Professional Services shall be performed under the guidance of the designated representative of the City of Hampton, FL. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for Professional Services, and to set forth the terms and conditions whereby Hampton, FL may contract with the successful Service Provider

(s) (Proposer) (s) to provide the water tank inspection, and washout as described herein. The City of Hampton, FL reserves the right to negotiate, and contract with any firm suited to provide the Professional services described herein.

The water storage tank is owned and operated by Hampton, FL. The tank is 64.000 gallon ground storage tank is approximately 28 feet in height and 20 feet in diameter. This program will establish a report detailing a long term schedule of specific maintenance activities which need to

be performed in order to maintain and protect the integrity of this water storage facility. All recommendations for work and coating systems must meet or exceed current standards established by AWWA and as required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) approved standards for drinking water.

The selected Service Provider shall provide all materials, labor, and services necessary to fulfill all obligations of the contract resulting from this RFP: these include, but are not limited to: water tank inspection and cleaning. This will include, but may not necessarily be limited to, yearly tank inspections, preparation of maintenance specifications, plans, schedules, studies, cost estimates, and reports to be submitted to the Hampton, FL Chairman of the City Council.
